Our first week back from winter break showed focus, energy, and strong routines across Lochbuie Intermediate Academy. Students returned ready to learn. Teachers worked hard on rebuilding routines and expectations while driving instruction back to grade level academics from day one.

Here is what we saw across the building.

• Students back in academic routines by day one

• Calm transitions and strong hallway behavior

• Focused classrooms with clear learning targets

• Students talking, writing, and solving problems

Teachers jumped right into instruction. Students worked with purpose. Instruction started right away. Teachers checked for understanding and adjusted instruction in real time.

We also kept our PRIDE values front and center.

• Perseverance through challenging work

• Respect in classrooms and common areas

• Integrity in effort and behavior

• Diversity through student voice and collaboration

• Excellence through strong academic focus

Strong habits early in January lead to strong results in May.

Thank you for helping students get back into routine. Sleep. On time arrival. These drive learning every day.

Welcome back! We have so much planned for our students the rest of the school year; from teacher conferences dinner, monthly dinners, spring fundraiser, teacher appreciation week, and many more things. We need your help to make the rest of the school year great.

Our next dinner fundraiser is Wednesday January 28 at Texas Roadhouse. Join us from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Brighton location. 10% of your purchase goes back to the school. We cannot wait to see you there!

The February fundraiser is at Arby's at Prairie Center on Tuesday February 24. 20% of your purchase goes to the school. This even goes from open to close so you can go multiple times that day.
