Families,
You deserve good news. Our recent NWEA MAP results show strong academic growth across Lochbuie Intermediate Academy.
Here is what the data shows.
• Math growth reached the 59th MGP.
• ELA growth reached the 57th MGP.
• An MGP of 50 shows a full year of expected growth.
Your students are growing faster than the national average. This means students are on pace to exceed a year’s worth of learning in both math and reading.
This growth reflects daily work in classrooms.
• Clear learning targets.
• Strong instruction.
• Consistent feedback.
• Students taking ownership of learning.
Your support matters. Daily attendance, reading at home, and positive conversations about school strengthen this progress. When students show up ready to learn, growth follows.
We are proud of our students. We are proud of our staff. We thank you for partnering with us to keep expectations high and learning strong.
We will keep pushing forward together.
MGP stands for Median Growth Percentile.
MGP shows how much academic growth your student made compared to other students across the country who started at the same score.
Here is how to read it.
• A score of 50 means a student made a typical year of growth.
• A score above 50 means more than a year of growth.
• A score below 50 means less than a year of growth.
When a school earns a 59 MGP in math or a 57 MGP in ELA, students grew faster than most peers nationwide with similar starting points.
MGP focuses on growth, not proficiency.
• Growth shows progress over time.
• Growth values effort, instruction, and consistency.
• Growth highlights improvement for all learners.
These scores show students moving forward at a strong pace. They reflect daily instruction, steady practice, and student commitment.
Best regards,
