We are Growing

Families,
Lochbuie Intermediate Academy continues to grow in powerful ways. Each week, we see evidence of students and staff pushing forward in learning and in building a strong school community.
Our growth is showing in many areas:
  • Students are reading more, writing with confidence, and solving complex math problems. Teachers are guiding them to think critically and explain their reasoning.
  • Science and social studies classes are bringing learning to life with projects, experiments, and discussions that connect to the real world.
  • Teachers are using strategies that encourage every student to participate, share their thinking, and stay engaged in lessons.
  • Classrooms are filled with routines that give structure and allow students to focus on learning.
Growth also means focusing on who we are as a community. Our PRIDE values Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Excellence show up daily. We see students supporting each other, solving problems with respect, and striving to do their best even when the work is challenging.
This year we are also setting goals that move us forward. We want students to not only meet expectations but exceed them. We want every child to feel a sense of belonging in our school. And we want families to feel connected to the work happening in classrooms.
Your support makes this possible. By encouraging your child at home, staying connected with teachers, and celebrating their successes, you are part of the growth we are experiencing.
Thank you for being a partner in learning. Together, we are building a school where students grow as learners and as people.

Best regards,
Manuel Montano
Principal, Lochbuie Intermediate Academy

Choir Information

Attention 5th, 6th & 7th Grade Families!
Choir will be starting again soon at Lochbuie Intermediate Academy! No previous singing experience and no auditions are required. Information letters and permission slips can be picked-up in the music room!
Rehearsals will be held weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on Tuesday September 16th. All rehearsals will take place in the music room right after school (3:05pm) until 4:00pm.
The first two rehearsal dates (9/16 & 9/18) are Open Rehearsals. This means that students who are unsure whether they will enjoy choir will have the opportunity to try it out without committing to the rest of the rehearsals and performance right away. A completed permission slip is still required to attend open rehearsals.
Please reach out to me, Mrs. Alpaugh, if you have any questions or concerns! I’m looking forward to singing with you soon!

Please see attached PDF's for more information.

Importance of Attendance

Attendance and arriving on time are essential to your child’s success. Every minute of learning matters. When students are present and ready to learn from the first bell, they have the best chance to grow academically and socially.
Lochbuie Intermediate Academy school hours are 7:55 AM – 3:00 PM, with supervision and breakfast beginning at 7:30 AM. Please help your student arrive on time and prepared to start the day.
