Dear LIA Families,
As we continue through October, I want to thank our families for your continued support and partnership. We have a lot to be proud of at Lochbuie Intermediate Academy. Our students and staff continue to work hard, challenge themselves, and demonstrate what being a member of our community is all about.
Our focus continues to be on providing strong instruction, maintaining high expectations, and creating a school where every student feels welcomed, supported, and challenged to succeed.
Academic Growth and Success
We are proud of the progress our school continues to make. Our State Performance Framework rating continues to improve, and we are now only half a point away from reaching the state's highest performance rating!
This progress reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the support of our families. While we celebrate this accomplishment, we know there is still work ahead. We will continue raising the bar and pushing our students to achieve their full potential.
Attendance Matters
As we move further into the school year, consistent attendance remains a priority. Every school day matters. When students are present, they participate in meaningful instruction, build relationships, and develop the skills needed for academic success.
We ask families to make attendance a priority and help students arrive at school on time, ready to learn. Our goal is to see every Lion in school every day.
Respect and Responsibility
We continue to remind students that being a Lion comes with responsibilities. How we treat others, how we care for our school, and how we respond to challenges all matter.
Please continue reinforcing the importance of treating others with respect, following adult directions, and taking pride in our school. Our expectations are high because we believe in our students and what they are capable of accomplishing.
Moving Forward Together
Our school continues to grow, and so do our expectations. We want every student to experience success, feel a sense of belonging, and understand that their choices contribute to the success of our entire school community.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for continuing to support the work happening at LIA. We have made tremendous progress, and I look forward to seeing what we accomplish together throughout the rest of the school year
