Dear Families,

This week, we are focusing on perseverance, one of the most important habits our students build at school and in life. Perseverance means continuing to work when something feels difficult, learning from mistakes, and refusing to give up when success takes time.

We see our students showing perseverance every day. They work through challenging assignments, ask for help, try a new strategy, and keep moving forward. Those moments matter. Please continue encouraging your child to stick with difficult tasks and take pride in their growth.

Parent Teacher Conferences are next week. Please make sure you have signed up for a conference time with your child’s teacher. Conferences give us an important opportunity to talk about your child’s progress, celebrate successes, and work together on areas where additional support is needed.

Thank you for continuing to partner with us. Our students succeed when school and home work together, and perseverance grows when students know the adults around them believe in their ability to keep going.

Lochbuie Intermediate Academy

Lochbuie Intermediate Academy serves students in grades four through eight in a school community built on strong relationships, high expectations, and student growth.

Students experience strong core instruction along with electives, athletics, clubs, STEM, robotics, music, art, and other opportunities to explore their interests and build confidence.

Our culture centers on PRIDE. Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Excellence guide how students learn, grow, and contribute to our school community.

At Lochbuie Intermediate Academy, every student should feel known, supported, challenged, and proud to be a Lion.

We hope you all have an amazing week off. We have so much upcoming events happening when your student gets back. 

Tuesday September 29 is Blackjack Pizza! This event goes all day and 20% of your purchase goes back to the students. Take a picture of your family enjoying pizza and post it to our Facebook page under the Blackjack Pizza event and be entered to win a $25 Panda Express gift card! Please see flyer for more information to make sure your order gets applied to us. 

Also on Tuesday September 29 our catalog fundraiser begins. Be on the look out for this packet and help your student(s) sell some items. They get to win some cool prizes. This packet is due on Wednesday October 14. 

Our annual Trunk or Treat is happening Friday October 30 from 5:30 to 6:30 at Lochbuie Intermediate Academy. We are having a candy contest to see which class can bring in the most candy. Please see flyer for more information. We will also be needing some amazing trunks. Be on the lookout for a signup when we come back from break. 

Our next PTO meeting will be Tuesday October 13 at 3:45pm in the library at Lochbuie Intermediate Academy. Join us in person or virtually at the link below. Hope to see you there!
