Exciting changes are coming to Lochbuie Elementary as the school undergoes a transformation to better serve its growing student population. Beginning next school year, the school will officially be renamed Lochbuie Intermediate Academy to reflect its expansion into a full intermediate school. This shift comes as part of a long-term plan to accommodate seventh grade next year and eighth grade the following year, providing a seamless academic experience for students as they transition into high school.
The decision to rename the school was a collaborative process involving school leadership, staff, district administration, and community stakeholders. Over the past several months, discussions focused on selecting a name that aligns with the school’s evolving mission and vision. Staff input, student feedback, and community engagement played a key role in determining a name that not only represents the school’s growth but also its commitment to academic excellence and student development.
Lochbuie Intermediate Academy will continue to emphasize rigorous academics, engagement strategies, and a strong Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure all students receive the instruction and interventions they need to succeed. With a focus on Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Excellence (PRIDE), the school remains dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
