Career Fair Inspires Students at Lochbuie Elementary

Lochbuie Elementary recently hosted a Career Fair, providing students with an exciting opportunity to explore various career paths and dream big about their futures! Representatives from diverse professions, including healthcare, engineering, law enforcement, education, and the trades, shared insights into their work and the skills needed to succeed.

The event was designed to inspire students to start thinking about their career goals and the steps they can take to achieve them. Through hands-on activities and interactive presentations, students learned about different fields, asked questions, and gained a glimpse of what it’s like to work in various industries.

Here’s what our students had to say about the experience:

• “I loved meeting the firefighter! I think I want to be a hero like that one day,” said a 4th-grade student.
• “Seeing how engineers build things was so cool—I’d like to create something that helps people,” shared a 5th-grade student.
• “The United Power team was awesome! They showed us how electricity works, and I think it’d be fun to work in energy,” added a 6th-grade student.
